What is a legal document?
Legal documents are contracts between two or more persons, binding them to an agreement. Anyone can prepare a "legal" document, or you can have an attorney write one for you. A statement that is hand-written is considered a legal document; these statements should be signed and dated. Sometimes it is necessary to have a witness sign to make a document legal.
